In Pursuit of Excellence

MEN & WOMEN WANTED: FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY. SMALL WAGES, BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS, CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOUR AND RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS.” – Shackleton.

It’s clear that Shackleton understood what it takes to make a movie. And not just any movie, but an animation film, where progress is measured in seconds per day. It takes a special type of person to pull this off and survive the rollercoaster of emotional highs and lows in having to overcome the unique financial and technological challenges that making animation films require.

Visitors are blown away when they come to see Triggerfish Studios. We have assembled a team of the most talented people prepared to take on the industry’s giants with little stones. We believe Triggerfish is one of Africa’s most exciting start-ups. It takes years to get an animation film made - so the journey can feel long and dark, but there are special moments that keep us motivated.

Our first film, “Adventures in Zambezia”, won the Best Feature Film category at the Durban International Film Festival and Triggerfish Co-founder & CEO, Stuart Forrest, has been selected as a finalist in the Sanlam/ Business Partners 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year competition.

Congratulations to all involved. Triggerfish is on the move.
